the majesty of the law
I try very hard to have faith in the Supreme Court. But then I just got my stamped-filed copies of another little cert petition that I filed yesterday, and they bear the official stamp of the Supreme Court reflecting that they were received at the Court on February 31, 2005.

Arrgh! And while you're studying that reality, the Bush Administration will act again, creating other new realities.

Could there be some sort of systemic thing going on here? I had a bankruptcy court set an objections deadline for Feb 31.

Maybe the millenium bug has finally struck!

I had a court set a trial date for June 31, once. It's a good excuse for an adjournment :-)

I was born on February 29, 1972. My last driver's license "expired" on February 29, 1999. However, even the California DMV got it right next time around - my current license expires on February 28, 2009.

At least it was a date in your favor, rather than 1/31/06.

Maybe you should call them and let them know that they need to turn their datestamps? (Without using your name, of course.)
